News for AW 2025 in AUG

ree

We thank the Lord who provides for our needs so that we may continue doing what is pleasing to Him without being anxious about anything.

Here are some updates from last month:

  1. YL could not attend the meeting because she visited South Korea with her son due to her father’s illness. She later shared that her father’s surgery went well and they safely returned.

  2. JR said that someone broke the window of her parked car and stole some belongings. Although she has insurance, she was worried because of the deductible. She is currently working in elderly care while continuing to learn tattooing.

  3. DJ was unable to attend the meeting due to moving and being unwell.

  4. EP missed the morning meeting because her car broke down and she was delayed getting it fixed. She was also delayed by her son’s separation anxiety when leaving the house, and she finally arrived late in the afternoon. She shared that her father had been ill, and with the help of her siblings in South Korea, she was able to get plane tickets and travel with her children for two weeks. She said it brought her comfort to see her father before he passed away. Her children also met their extended family in Korea for the first time and had a joyful time together.

  5. HJ had former co-workers (who used to work with her late husband) visit her home on Independence Day, and she was able to enjoy a wonderful time with her son for the first time in two years. It was also her son’s birthday, and many people celebrated him, which was a great comfort to him.

  6. EH visited her children in Ohio and spent eight days shopping and swimming with them. Although her children have developmental disabilities, their stepmother treats them well and they like her, which gave her peace of mind. On June 27, her divorce from her current husband (who is in prison due to Substance Use Disorder) was finalized. She is still looking for low-income housing and is also checking job openings to work as a social worker.

  7. YY shared that her son was suspected of ADHD at school, but after more detailed testing, it was determined that he does not have ADHD. She has been living separately from her husband due to his debt, unable to file for divorce, and recently received a letter from the California Franchise Tax Board requesting payment of unpaid taxes. She is currently consulting a divorce attorney.

  8. JJ could not attend the meeting because her car was towed after she missed a payment.

  9. RC missed the meeting because her son injured his leg.

  10. Dream Tree took nine children from AW families to Universal Studios Hollywood on July 27. They had a wonderful time together.

  11. Wonoh Hong, a missionary in Nepal, shared news about a young man named Daji Sager. After graduating high school in Nepal, he worked in South Korea for six years and received a calling to become a pastor. He is currently working at a factory in Eungbong-myeon, Yesan County, Chungcheongnam-do, while preparing to study theology at Mokwon University. He has submitted his application and requested prayers that the spring semester admission process will go smoothly. He has been the main provider for his family since age 15 after his parents divorced due to his father’s domestic violence and alcoholism, supporting his mother and four younger siblings.

  12. Professor Jenny Pak’s lectures will resume this month. We encourage everyone to participate.

Please stay healthy in this hot summer weather.Thank you always for your prayers and support.
