Joy House Update & Prayer Requests

Currently, two single mothers are residing at Joy House. One is a mother of a 21-month-old daughter, and the other is a woman who is now nine months pregnant.

These two mothers, along with another single mother who stayed briefly in June, meet three times a week with the board members for Bible study, Scripture reflection, and one-on-one discipleship sessions.

Here are the prayer requests shared by the mothers.

1. The mother of a 21-month-old daughter will be attending beauty school full-time starting in August. Please pray for her health and the health of her daughter, who will be in full-time daycare, especially amid the COVID-19 situation.

   
   

2. The pregnant mother, who arrived in a very undernourished and weakened condition, is expected to give birth at the end of September. Please pray for a safe delivery and good health for both mother and baby.

   
   

3. The mother who stayed briefly is facing a custody hearing on September 8. Please pray that she may be granted custody of her children.
